I Feel Pretty, Oh So Pretty | Houston Newborn Photographer

We sure did have fun dressing this little doll up. She was such a stinker and wanted nothing to do with posing for me… that is until we put on her pretty little pink tutu and matching headband. The tutu was not the softest material, but go figure, as soon as she had it on, she went into a coma and got very upset with me when I took it off. Watch out, Dad! Only one week old and she already has style.

My absolute favorite part of the session was getting to feed and cuddle with her. You never know what you will walk into when starting a newborn session. My luck, she was ready to eat, so I jumped on the opportunity to feed, diaper and burp her.

Take a peak at little {A} and all of her sweetness. Such a cute family.

I have finally completed my new site dedicated to Bellies, Births and Babies. I have only added a few of my most recent births on there right now, but plan for it to also be a place to showcase the Bumps and Babies. Go check it out and also check out last week’s birth.

I had the blessing of being able to capture very sweet memories for a family who is now complete with their third son. I love how there are always curve balls thrown with each labor and delivery that I witness. Everyone has their own story. What’s yours?

Father’s Day Gift | Houston and Cypress Photographer

I mentioned something on my Facebook page last week about getting something in that will be perfect for Father’s Day. Take a look at this cute Storyboard Frame from The Vintage Crush. There are many design options as well as edge options and colors you can choose from. Plus, you can hang it on the wall, put it on the fridge or set it on a plate rack like I did here. The openings are for 2×3 wallet sized pictures.

Plus, I am doing a special on these frames for a short time. If you order by noon on Friday the 20th, you can get the 7-opening mini story board frame will for $75.00 and the 4-opening for $55.00.

There are 5 very simple steps to ordering your frame.

Go to the Vintage Crush’s website (click links) and decide if you would like a 4-opening or 7-opening frame.
Then decide which frame style you would like. For the 4-opening, choose from Alli, Bella, Carlynn, Chrystine, Dawn, Gracie, Jolena, Leighton, Lesa, Liam or Trina. For the 7-opening, choose from Bailen, Bella, Carlynn, Leighton or Liam.
Choose a color.
Choose and edge option (beveled, beveled and distressed OR round)
Tell me whether you would like magnets placed on the back (free option) to stick the frame on your fridge or in a locker.

That’s it! Once you have decided all of your options, just tell me ALL 5 options and email your order to me at info@stephanieshirley.com. The frame will be $75 for the 7-opening or $55.00 for the 4-opening. (Plus tax)

Family Fun | Cypress Family and Child Photographer

I am going to have to go a little out of order here on my peeks. I had a very busy weekend and a wonderful Mother’s Day. I think after 6 years, my husband is getting the hang of it (either that, or my kids are finally getting older and easier to handle without me). Lol! I hope all the moms out there were spoiled rotten and shown great love by their Little Love Bugs.

I met this family on Saturday morning. The weather was in our favor. We didn’t have to deal with all of the wind that we have been experiencing lately and the heat didn’t really kick in until we were walking out after the session. This was such a cute family. The littlest guy in this group talked my ear off on the walk out to the location, but once we got there, refused, and I mean refused, to crack a smile for me. Every time I would get him to smile, he would quickly cover his mouth and then turn his head away from me until he had controlled his grin. So silly! You never know what you are going to get with near two year olds. It is always an adventure.

Bump | Houston and Cypress Maternity Photographer

A tiny one at that! How cute is this bump? She insisted on meeting early on so that she would have pictures to share at the her shower. I have met Big brother before, but he was under a year old. Now he’s running, laughing and politely saying “no” when he doesn’t want to do something. My favorite part is when he ran up to his mom while we were trying to do bare belly shots and said “No” and proceeded to pull her shirt down. Lol! It worked out in my favor since every time he tried, it deceivingly made it look like he was being super sweet and saying hi to his baby sister. Hehe!

I cannot wait to meet this sweet little girl, even though I will be waiting a good 6-8 weeks to do so. This is definitely going to be a summer of babies!
