I got to go out last week and meet up with Baby Merian again. Only because I didn’t get to spend enough time with her at her birth. I adore this family. Getting to snap away at sweet little Merian while her big sister sits in my lap repeatedly… singing the itsy bitsy spider and finding new ways to sing it – taught by a two year old… getting to hear at the end of the session from mom “I feel like we should be hanging out all of the time, you have been a part of so much.” Um, hello?! Awesome!

Oh, I wanted to share how sweet it was watching Daddy with his new baby girl. Every time she started to get upset, he would give her a bunch of kisses that would calm her down. So sweet!

I hope to get my hands on that baby sooner rather than later! Take a peek!

My days are steadily starting to run together, but somehow I am still managing to hug and kiss and play with my boys just as much. My family means the world to me. Thinking back almost 10 years ago when I said “Yes”, this is exactly where I envisioned my life to be. Maybe even a little better.

Such a Boy | Houston and Katy Family and Child Photographer

Last week was filled with two births AND two repeat clients. There is nothing better that when you have your clients come back to you. I selfishly enjoy getting to see and play with the kids. The last time I got to see this little one, he was tearing into his cake and running all over the place. It was a bittersweet session since he was another kiddo that was on the Baby Plan. I was excited to take his pictures and watch him make a mess, but upset that it would be a while before seeing him again. Now his personality is really showing through and I could barely compete with the buses, motorcycles and Metro Rail that kept passing us by. Next time, we will make sure to incorporate the true boy that he obviously is.

You guys are such a beautiful family! Didn’t they do an awesome job on their outfit choices for this urban session? Love it!
