Want to capture the first moments shortly after baby is born, but want to keep the intimate moments of labor and delivery within your family? These sessions fall perfectly in between a Birth Session and a Fresh Session.

How does this session work exactly?
For the most part, the session looks similar to a birth session. We still communicate throughout your pregnancy and you’ll notify me at the start of labor so that I can prepare my family to join you. Updates on how labor is progressing is key. I’ll be waiting for the notification that your baby has been born and will begin to make my way to you. Once I arrive, I will capture all the sweet moments that happen in the 1.5-2 hours I am with you.
Will you capture labor or the moment baby is delivered?
Not for this type of session. I don’t begin my drive to join you until I have the news that baby has been born. If you are looking for labor and delivery coverage, my Birth Sessions are the best option for you.
I would love to have pictures of my older children meeting the baby, is this an option?
Absolutely! I love capturing sibling moments. Keep in mind, though, that babies come when they come and it can quite possibly be in the middle of the night. You might want to think about what happens if you deliver at 2 am and whether you want to wake your other children.
So, what things will you capture once you arrive?
Depending on where you deliver, possibilities are: weights, measurements, footprints, skin to skin with either/both parents, nursing, bonding with baby, family introductions, etc.
How long before we get our gallery of images and how many images will be delivered to our gallery?
The turnaround time for delivering galleries is 2-3 weeks. A typical gallery will include around 50-100 images from our session. These hand-edited images will be placed in an online, password-protected gallery for viewing. You will then be able to create a selection of 30 images that you would like to download. Of course, you also have the option to purchase additional digital files if you choose to do so.
How do the payments work?
Although you don’t have to pay for the session in full upfront, I do require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the session cost in order to lock-in your due date on the calendar. The remaining balance is due anywhere between the day of the session and up to 3 days later. Of course, you will have access to your client portal as soon as you’re officially booked to view your invoice and make payments towards your session whenever you choose.
