The Woodlands Birth Photographer | Raelyn

After having 4 deliveries the week before, I did not expect this mama to follow suit. I got a text around lunch saying that her water had broken and that they were headed into the hospital. They got checked into the hospital and started the labor process. Her doctor wasn't in a rush to speed up her delivery, so she was able to let her labor progress on her own. Unfortunately in the middle of the night, Mom started to spike a fever which caused baby's heart rate to remain a little higher than normal. They started discussing the fact that they would need to get baby out a little sooner and then monitor her in the NICU to make sure mom's infection didn't pass on to her.

Mom did awesome, especially since her epidural wasn't giving her full relief. Beautiful little Raelyn was born at 5:02 am, all 6 lbs 9 oz of her. :) She got to stay with Mom and Dad for 30 minutes and then Dad and I followed her into the NICU where they monitored her and ran some blood work. Everything turned out great and she was able to be back with mom a little later that morning.

Happy birthday, Sweet Raelyn!
